BOOM!
I got a bunch of old albums that used to belong to my mom and my dad. They're all banged up. This is my blog about organizing them and trying to restore them. That's what I intended it to be at first anyway. Turns out this stuff is so old and so tied to my memories about my family that it's turning into a blog about them too. Sometimes I try to be funny. Maybe a lot of the time? I should probably rewrite this description. Probably won't though.

2001: A Space Odyssey
I am a huge science fiction geek. I loved this movie. I loved the book. I really hope this plays. Other than the fact that the album cover is fucking boss, I don't really have much to add about this one.
Hey, fuck you alright? They can't all be long introspective meditations on my family history or letters to my mom she's never gonna read. On this one you're getting, "this was a good movie."
Let's keep it moving.

Donovan - Donovan in Concert
Not only is this one my dad's, but it's got his name written proudly on the jacket. So... yeah. Donovan. Just... not my thing.
Simon & Garfunkel - Bookends
Arlo Guthrie - Arlo
He told me "all the folk albums were mine" as if that was a good thing. I can't explain it. He's a pretty cool guy (if you repeat that I'll deny it). But I can't explain the taste in music. He listened to the fucking Who and the Kinks and Pink Floyd and Jimi Hendrix and ZAPPA... and Arlo fucking Guthrie? You explain it to me, I don't get it.
